It is not enough to hang up your shingle and say "I am in business". Being in business requires being a part of the community. This collection of associations is critical for several reasons.
Foremost, every business has a moral responsibility to contribute to its community. Pratt Brown & Associates, LLC has tremendous industry knowledge and we feel honor bound to our community to share that industry knowledge with the up and coming students hoping to enter our industry, or to new businesses coming into the community wanting to know where there are resources to help them establish new jobs here in the Greater Tampa Bay area.
Secondarily, association ties help us to know the people that are contributing to the growth of IT Jobs in the Tampa Bay market place. Keeping our finger on the pulse of the IT Job industry; both those hiring and those looking for IT jobs, is our stock and trade.
A recent Forbes article (see our Blog) stated clearly that Tampa Bay, despite the recession, was hiring for defense industry jobs in IT related careers. It should come as no surprise that PB&A belongs to the AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association). This is a part of how we do our job of matching IT industry needs with IT talents.
